Our Story

We began in games. The tech worked, but the timing didn't. Through unexpected left and right turns, we found ourselves building something much bigger.

The destination is clear

A future in which AI systems generate code so rapidly that it borders on biology. Where ideas and systems can be erected, shifted, and manipulated at speeds before unimaginable.

The plan is to build software at the speed of thought. The goal of this venture has always been to build truly autonomous AI systems.

The Journey

2021

Founded as Epoch ML

Launched in the behavioral cloning for games segment — applying ML to learn from player behavior and automate game testing.

2022

SDLC tools for game studios

Built development lifecycle and automation tools for game studios, exploring the viability of AI-powered game development infrastructure.

2023

Playtesting.gg to Granola.gg

Explored playtesting automation (early 2023), then expanded into a full collaborative game development platform — Granola.gg launched November 2023 with builds, CI/CD, and team management.

2024

The pivot to autonomous AI

Explored "Just-in-Time Software" — the idea of code that writes itself. The underlying agent technology became the core focus, leading to Zerg AI.

2025

Zerg deployed to enterprise

First production deployments into mission-critical enterprise systems. Signed paying customers and expanded the team from 3 to 6.

2026

Scaling the flywheel

Zerg Cloud beta launch. Expanding enterprise customer base. Each deployment makes the engine smarter.
